FROM THE DESK OF THE SUPERINTENDENT

The following update was provided by Margaret Gibbons, Director of Nurses for the Milton Public Schools:

As the winter and flu season approach, it is important for parents and guardians to remember the facts about getting the “flu.”  This illness is especially difficult for children and adolescents because of how easy it is to spread the flu virus.  “The FLU: A Guide for Parents” is designed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to inform and educate parents and guardians on all aspects of prevention and caring for a sick child. Please see the document attached to this E-blast to review this guide.

In an effort to assist our students, the Milton Public School nurses are hosting a Student Flu Clinic on Thursday, October 24th from 3 to 5:30 pm at Pierce Middle School.

If you have further questions, please contact your school nurse.  Stay Healthy!
